02.26.07--Michigan dairy producers select new dairy ambassadors

Two young women from opposite corners of the state hope to spend the next year pounding the pavement to tell the story of the Michigan dairy industry. Ashley Messing, Bad Axe, and Krista Beeker, Constantine, were chosen as the 2007 Michigan Dairy Ambassadors.

02.20.07--GLRDC wraps up with record attendance, rich education sessions

More than 425 dairy producers, farm managers and industry professionals learned how to increase milk quality and produce healthy, well-fed cattle during the fifth annual Great Lakes Regional Dairy Conference (GLRDC) Feb. 8-10 in Frankenmuth.

01.29.07--Big Ten Ice Cream Bowl

Super Bowl fever may be heating up for the Feb. 4 game in Miami, but there will be a decided chill in the air at a new bowl debuting Feb. 8 in Frankenmuth, Mich.  The Big Ten Ice Cream Bowl will pit the Flavors of the Big Ten against one another to determine the top scoop of 2007.

01.22.07--Michigan Holstein Association annual meeting set for Feb. 10 in Frankenmuth

The Michigan Holstein Association (MHA) will hold its annual meeting February 10 at the Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn Lodge and Conference Center in Frankenmuth. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the fifth annual Great Lakes Regional Dairy Conference.

01.20.07--Dairy breed associations hold joint annual meetings

Members of the state’s dairy cattle associations will have an opportunity to learn more about the resurgence of the Michigan Purebred Dairy Cattle Association (PDCA) during the annual All Breeds Bulletin February 10 at the Bavarian Inn Lodge and Conference Center in Frankenmuth.

01.20.07--Dairy banquet honors Michigan producers and MSU students

The first-ever Dairy Industry Recognition Banquet, honoring Michigan producers and Michigan State University (MSU) students will take place Friday, February 10 at the Bavarian Inn Lodge and Conference Center in Frankenmuth. The banquet is part of the 5th annual Great Lakes Regional Dairy Conference.

Experts will help producers learn to optimize their dairy feeding programs during a bonus workshop February 9 held in conjunction with the Great Lakes Regional Dairy Conference (GLRDC) in Frankenmuth.
